) - Russia and the United States have “no common vision” on Ukraine according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Lavrov met with US Secretary of State John Kerry in London on Friday to discuss the ongoing buildup of military forces around Ukraine’s borders which the US fears is an attempt to annex the Crimea region.
Lavrov called the meeting “constructive”.
Kerry stated that the US was “deeply concerned” about Russia sending troops to the Ukraine border.
Lavrov said Russia would respect the results of Sunday’s Crimea referendum while the US said they would not recognize it.
