) - Saturday’s massive landslide in the US state of Washington has left 108 missing and at least eight dead, according to local authorities.
The landslide which occurred in Oso, a small town located about 55 miles from Seattle, devastated the town with a 177 ft deep wall of mud.
Search crews have been searching since Saturday for survivors using helicopters. Snohomish County emergency management director John Pennington called the situation “very grim”.
"We have not found anyone alive on this pile since Saturday," Pennington stated.
