) - Leaders from G7 nations have warned Russia to cease all activities to “annex” Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula. Leaders from G7 said that if Russia continued aggression they would :take further action, individually and collectively".
Crimea is scheduled to vote this weekend on a referendum to split from Ukraine and join Russia. The West has said they will not recognize the results of the referendum.
Ukraine National Security Chief Andriy Parubiy has warned that Moscow continues to build up forces along Ukraine’s borders adding that Russian forces are “only two to three hours” from Kiev.
